Automotive Auctions is a Dutch house specialising in exclusive vehicles and classic cars, sold through online auctions to buyers in the Netherlands and abroad. Alongside the ordinary consignment business it runs an Insolvency & Estate service, which is where a collection assembled over decades tends to reach the market — an estate or a bankruptcy with cars in it needs a specialist rather than a general auctioneer.

How the bidding works
Sales are online, listed on an auction calendar (veilingkalender) alongside the current offering. The house serves both private sellers and motor businesses, with a remarketing service for the trade, and advertises free consignment for sellers. The interface is available in Dutch, English and German, which reflects where the buyers come from — the classic market in this region is genuinely cross-border.
What to check before you bid
Classic cars are bought on documentation and originality, not on photographs. Establish what history file comes with the car, whether the identity and matching numbers are verified, and what the description does not claim — with an estate car in particular, the seller may have no first-hand knowledge of the work done to it. Ask about the buyer's premium and whether Dutch BPM or VAT applies to your situation before bidding, since for a cross-border purchase those can change the total materially. Collection arrangements are published per vehicle.
