Auctions in Poland

Poland's auction market has grown quickly on the back of two very different flows. The official one runs through state platforms: the tax administration's electronic auction system disposes of goods seized for unpaid tax and customs, while court bailiffs run enforcement sales of vehicles, equipment and property. The commercial one runs through leasing companies, which return large volumes of off-lease vehicles, machinery and construction equipment to the market on fixed cycles.

That leasing supply is the most predictable source of quality stock in the country. Ex-lease vans, tractor units, excavators and machine tools come off contract in batches, usually with full service history and a known single operator — a very different proposition from an enforcement lot of unknown provenance.

For buyers from Germany, the Czech Republic or the Baltics, Poland is close enough that collection is straightforward. The main friction is language: most platforms operate in Polish only, and terms of sale are rarely translated. Registration on state portals typically requires a Polish electronic signature or trusted profile, which effectively means working with a local agent unless you are established in Poland.
