Lithuania runs its enforcement sales through a centralised electronic system. Bailiffs publish court-ordered auctions on the national e-auction platform, which is where the bulk of the country's judicial disposals — property, vehicles and seized goods — actually change hands. It is a small market by European standards but a well-organised one, with the process documented and the timetable fixed by statute.
Alongside that system, individual public authorities dispose of their own surplus and seized property directly. The State Tax Inspectorate, for example, publishes occasional auctions of cars and office equipment through its own county offices, at prices set by the authority rather than by competitive bidding. Volume there is low — a handful of notices a year — but the items are cheap and the provenance is clean.
For buyers from outside the country the main constraints are language and presence. Notices are published in Lithuanian, the binding text is always the Lithuanian original, and sales run by regional offices generally expect you to deal with that office directly. Registration and deposits follow the rules of whichever system a lot sits in, so establish which one you are dealing with before committing anything.
