eVaržytynės is the Lithuanian state portal for forced sales and public-body disposals. It is operated by VĮ Registrų centras, the state enterprise behind Lithuania's property and company registers, and runs on the bailiffs' information system; the Ministry of Justice, the Chamber of Bailiffs, Turto bankas and insolvency supervisor AVNIS are listed as project partners. Sellers are court bailiffs (antstoliai) enforcing debts, insolvency administrators liquidating company estates, municipalities, state property manager Turto bankas, and a long tail of state institutions and public companies — customs, police, ministries, universities, Lietuvos paštas, Lietuvos geležinkeliai. The site runs in Lithuanian and English: navigation, filters and lot summaries are translated, but addresses, free-text descriptions and contract drafts stay Lithuanian.

What you can buy

• Flats and premises: repossessed apartments nationwide, from a 39.72 m² flat in Šalčininkai district at EUR 1,760 to a 112.55 m² one in Kaunas at EUR 144,000; garages too. Many bailiff lots are fractional shares — 1/2, 1/3, 1/6 of a dwelling — rather than whole flats.
• Land and buildings: sklypai (plots), pastatai (buildings) and kiti statiniai (other structures), farm and commercial premises included.
• Cars and vans: Volkswagen Caddy at EUR 250, VW Transporter at EUR 500, an Iveco Daily minibus at EUR 870, Suzuki Grand Vitara at EUR 3,645.
• Trucks and trailers: a 2018 Renault T-530 tractor unit sold with a 2009 FVG semi-trailer at EUR 30,000.
• Farm and plant machinery: John Deere 6930 tractor (EUR 31,500), John Deere 543i sprayer (EUR 67,200), an Ares HP XL6 disc harrow bundled with a seed drill (EUR 32,000), grain silos (EUR 130,200), mostly from insolvency estates.
• Business assets and claims: production lines, plastic-moulding and palletising machines, stock, and reikalavimo teisės — debt claims sold as lots.
• Rental tenders: nuomos konkursai for municipal premises, alongside outright sales.

How the bidding works

There are two tracks. Bailiff and insolvency varžytynės run for exactly 30 days with no separate registration window, and each lot page shows a dalyvio mokestis worth 10% of the starting price — EUR 176 on a EUR 1,760 flat, EUR 3,150 on a EUR 31,500 tractor. Turto bankas, municipal and "other" auctions and rental tenders instead open for roughly a day, after a registration window that closes several days earlier, and charge a 10% guarantee deposit plus a separate, non-refundable registration fee (EUR 10 on a EUR 250 car, EUR 60 on a EUR 55,100 flat). The minimum raise is a fixed sum printed on each lot — EUR 10, EUR 500 — not a percentage. A bid placed before the deadline extends the auction for a further term, though the portal does not publish its length. Login runs through the iPasas.lt identity gateway — e-signature, LT ID card, Mobile-ID, chip card or USB token — or through the e-government gateway, which offers a separate route for foreigners. The portal warns that payment confirmation can take time, so pay early. Prices, settlement and appeal rules are not restated on the site; it links to the Civil Procedure Code and sector regulations instead.

What to check before you bid

Payment terms are set by the organiser and printed on the lot, not by the portal: one customs auction demands settlement within three working days, the transfer deed within three more and collection inside ten, with registration fees non-refundable. VAT is not uniform: movable lots carry a "Turtas PVM objektas: Taip/Ne" flag, rental tenders quote prices with and without VAT, and bailiff property listings carry no VAT field at all. Viewing arrangements vary — bailiff lots often point you to the current owner or merely suggest visiting the site, while Turto bankas and institutional sellers set appointments or fixed viewing windows before registration opens. Bailiff car listings do give VIN, engine, power, fuel and registration dates, and the valuation report can be read at the bailiff's office. There is no central warehouse and no shipping: collection is wherever the asset stands, which may be a village in Telšiai or Skuodas district, and vehicle buyers must declare the purchase to the Regitra register within five working days. Check arrests, mortgages and above all the fractional shares before bidding on housing. For foreign buyers the real barriers are the Lithuanian-only descriptions and contracts, clearing funds inside a fixed deadline, and collecting and re-registering in person.
