Auksjonen.no is a Norwegian online auction site for used vehicles, machinery and equipment, operated by Auksjonen.no AS from Sem outside Tønsberg. Trading since 2013, it has belonged to the European auction group TBAuctions since 2022 and reported over 50,000 sales in 2024. Lots come from Norwegian businesses clearing fleets and workshops, private sellers, and banks, finance companies and bankruptcy estates realising assets. Roughly 3,500 lots run at once, from branches in Tønsberg, Oslo, Nordkisa, Kristiansand and Trondheim.

What you can buy

• Cars and motorcycles: around 550 car lots at a time, from a 2010 Citroën at 500 NOK to a Mercedes-Benz GLS above 700,000 NOK, plus vans, pickups and some 60 motorcycles.
• Trucks and trailers: about 270 lots: tractor units, tippers, box bodies and semi-trailers.
• Construction plant: the largest machine section, around 565 lots. Wheeled and mini excavators, wheel loaders, dumpers, telehandlers, compactors, crushers and attachments; Volvo, Cat, Komatsu, Hitachi and Bobcat recur.
• Agricultural machinery: Valtra, John Deere and Massey Ferguson tractors, Kverneland ploughs and seed drills, fertiliser spreaders, farm trailers and grain silos.
• Industry, medical and surplus: workshop and production equipment, hospital and dental kit, overstock, boats, caravans and a general marketplace ("Torget") holding the site's highest lot count.

How the bidding works

Registration is open to private buyers and companies from age 18, via a phone or organisation number confirmed by SMS code. Every user must then be verified with BankID before a bid is accepted; buyers outside Norway are emailed the steps for their account instead, so start well before an auction closes. Sales are timed auctions whose clock extends when a late bid lands, so sniping fails. Some lots carry no reserve ("uten minstepris"); others sell at a fixed "Kjøp nå" price. Payment is by bank transfer in NOK — no cards, cash capped at 20,000 NOK — due the business day after the purchase contract arrives, with collection inside three business days of the delivery note. Goods sit either at the seller's own premises or at one of Auksjonen's own warehouses in Sem, Oslo and Heimdal, so the pickup address depends on the lot.

What to check before you bid

Bids exclude VAT, and a buyer's auction fee plus Norwegian VAT where it applies are added on top. That fee varies by category and reserve price and is shown on each listing, not in a published table. Exporters pay the VAT anyway and reclaim later: goods must be declared out through KGH, stamped by customs in box 49B, and sent to export@auksjonen.no within 30 days with your IBAN and SWIFT. Auksjonen charges 1,000 NOK plus VAT to arrange it, and since Norway is outside the EU you still face import clearance at the other end. Everything sells "som den er, hvor den er" (as is, where is), and viewing depends on the seller, so you may be bidding on photographs and a short Norwegian description. Past six business days, storage runs from 150 NOK a day for vehicles, 50 NOK for other items.
