Retrade

Retrade is run from Oslo by Integrated Cooperative Solutions AS and auctions used equipment for companies, municipalities, financial firms and bankruptcy estates. The seller is named on each lot; Retrade brokers and holds the money, releasing it to the seller once the item is collected. Around 670 lots run at once across Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland - Denmark alone supplies half - priced in DKK, NOK, SEK or, on the handful of Finnish lots, EUR.

What you can buy

• Construction: Volvo and Wacker Neuson excavators, CAT wheel loaders, Liebherr material handlers, dumpers, telehandlers, Sandvik and Metso Lokotrack crushers.
• Asphalt and road: Vögele pavers, Wirtgen milling machines, Bomag rollers, plus sweeping and snow-clearing gear.
• Agriculture and forestry: Tractors are a steady line - John Deere 2130 and 6630, Valtra N101 and N111 4WD - plus mowers, cultivators, spreaders, forest winches.
• Trucks and trailers: Volvo FH tippers, Volvo FL sweeper and hooklift trucks, MAN TGX ADR units, Scania crane trucks with Fassi booms, vacuum trucks, coaches, car transporters, livestock trailers.
• Cars and vans: Ex-fleet Ford Transit, Iveco Daily, Fiat Ducato, Toyota Proace and VW Caddy panel vans, some 4x4 or with Webasto heaters, plus company cars and pickups.
• Industry and workshop: Forklifts, electric stackers, vehicle lifts, generators, compressors, scaffolding, containers, site barracks.
• Boats and the rest: Working boats, sailboats, caravans, ATVs and motorcycles.

How the bidding works

Registration is free; companies need a valid VAT number, private bidders must be 18, and new accounts may wait for manual approval. The catch for foreign buyers: private individuals can only register in Norway, Sweden or Denmark and bid only on home-country lots - from Poland or the Baltics you bid as a company. Vehicles are generally not sold to private buyers, and some lots are business-only. Each lot is a timed auction, extended five minutes by any bid in the last five. Auto Bid hides your maximum; equal bids go to whoever bid first. If the reserve is not met, your top bid stays binding while the seller decides. Invoices fall due in five days; collection is arranged with the seller within 21 days, at your cost.

What to check before you bid

A buyer's fee is added on top of the hammer price; it varies by auction and shows on the bid confirmation, plus a DKK 250 invoice charge. VAT follows registration: same country as the seller means local VAT, an EU company with a valid VAT number elsewhere is invoiced without it, but Norwegian lots always carry Norwegian VAT except registered vehicles, refunded after export is documented - get the papers to Retrade inside 28 days or you chase the refund from the tax office yourself, so budget that cash up front. Export paperwork is yours - buyer statement, CMR stamped at both ends, IBAN and SWIFT, customs papers outside the EU; Retrade is not the exporter. Everything sells as is, the condition report is the seller's own, and viewing is normally not offered - photos and that report are all you get. Complaints count only at collection, before the item leaves site. Miss the deadlines and risk passes on day 21, storage runs 500 kr a week, day 30 is breach. Listings are mostly in Norwegian, Swedish or Danish.
