Dealer2Trade is a small independent trade car auction, and it is unusually direct about why it exists: it was set up by people in the motor trade as an alternative to the fees charged by the large remarketing groups. Membership is free and the pitch is that dealers keep more of the margin on every car they buy or sell to trade.

- Cars and light commercials: ordinary used stock moving between businesses.
How the bidding works
Register for a free trade account, then buy and sell within the platform. The model is deliberately lightweight — this is not a large remarketing operation with inspection centres and grading teams, it is a marketplace where dealers deal with each other directly.
What to check before you bid
The trade-off for low fees is that you are relying on the selling dealer's description rather than on an independent inspection, and on your own knowledge of what you are looking at. That suits a trade buyer who can assess a car from a description and photographs; it suits nobody else, and the platform is trade-only in any case.
