Industrial Discount is an Italian judicial auction portal operated by Abilio S.p.A., a single-member company of Faenza (Ravenna) subject to the direction and coordination of illimity Bank. It is entered at no. 68 in the Ministry of Justice register of telematic sales managers and in Section A of the list of sites authorised to advertise judicial auctions. Lots come from bankruptcy estates, enforcement proceedings and liquidations handled by trustees and court-appointed professionals across Italy, and also from leasing and credit portfolios and from private and corporate sellers, so goods stay wherever the business was based rather than at a central saleroom.

What you can buy

  • Production machinery: metalworking and mechanical equipment, woodworking and plastics machines, textile and printing plant, chemical and medical equipment.
  • Commercial vehicles: trucks, tractor units (a Scania R480 among them), trailers and semi-trailers, panel vans such as a Ford Transit, containers and swap bodies.
  • Cars and motorcycles: everyday stock like a Fiat Panda Van alongside a Porsche Cayenne, bikes, and occasional classics such as a restored Lancia Fulvia Sport Zagato.
  • Food industry lines: filling, packaging, refrigeration and processing equipment from closed producers.
  • Construction and agriculture: site plant and farm machinery.
  • Warehouse and office: forklifts, racking, furniture and IT, and sometimes intangibles such as trademarks from wound-up companies.

How the bidding works

Registration is free and open to individuals and companies, with e-mail validation before the profile activates; the form asks for a codice fiscale or VAT number. Most sales are ascending timed online auctions starting from a published base price, with proxy bidding, a possible reserve, and a time-extension rule that means no auction has a guaranteed closing minute. A fixed-price "Compra subito" button appears on some lots offered in private sales. Court sales use the telematic formats set by the rules, asynchronous or synchronous, and are advertised on venditegiudiziarieitalia.it. A deposit set in each lot's Disciplinare di vendita must be lodged before you bid; losing bidders are refunded within about ten working days, while the winner's deposit is usually held as security until collection is finished rather than credited against the price. Bids are irrevocable. Inspections are by appointment and normally need to be requested several working days ahead. Payment and collection deadlines sit in the same Disciplinare: removal is typically to be completed within 30 days of the call-up e-mail, with the removal itself confined to the days stated on the lot page, and dismantling and transport at your cost.

What to check before you bid

Prices are quoted net of VAT. On top of the hammer price come Italian VAT, the buyer's premium plus VAT on it, and a collection-handling charge; the percentages are not published site-wide and appear only in each auction's sale conditions, where 10 to 15 per cent is common, so read those first. Companies in another EU state registered in VIES can be invoiced without Italian VAT, provided the seller is registered too; non-EU buyers may have to lodge VAT as an export deposit, refunded only against proof of export within 90 days. The interface is available in Italian and English, but the sale documents are in Italian only. Machinery is sold as seen, without warranty, non-CE items may only be scrapped or stripped for spare parts under a signed declaration, and a defaulting winner is banned from the site and reported to the delegated professional and the court.
