Saisie Pénale is the Luxembourg government's official portal for assets seized in criminal proceedings, run by the Bureau de gestion des avoirs (BGA) — the state office that manages property taken by prosecutors and, once confiscation is final, disposes of it. Alongside explaining how criminal seizure works, the portal publishes the public auctions at which that property is sold. It is a small, official channel rather than a commercial marketplace, and the volume reflects that.

How the bidding works

The portal carries a Ventes section listing upcoming sales, with the format, date and place given per auction. There is no permanent bidding engine to register on: each sale is announced individually and run under the terms published with it. The site is available in French and English, and there is a separate professional area for practitioners. The BGA also publishes activity reports and an FAQ explaining the legal background.

What to check before you bid

Provenance is the whole point here — everything on offer has passed through a criminal court, and the state's title to sell derives from a confiscation order. That makes the paperwork clean, but it also means sales happen when a case concludes rather than on a schedule, so there can be long quiet periods. Terms, deposits and viewing are set per sale in the published notice. Luxembourg is small and the auctions are correspondingly infrequent; if you are watching for a specific type of asset, checking the Ventes page periodically is the only reliable approach.
