Auktionen Huber — homepage

Auktionen Huber combines three services that usually sit in separate businesses: valuations (Gutachten), asset realisation (Verwertungen) and auctions. The work is clearing German production sites — when a manufacturer relocates or closes a plant, Huber inventories what is there, values it and sells it. Sales we saw were tied to specific relocations rather than to a rolling calendar, with the whole contents of one site catalogued together.

What you can buy

  • Workshop and production equipment: the core of every clearance.
  • Warehouse, transport and operating equipment: racking, handling gear and the fittings a plant runs on.
  • Measuring and testing equipment: Mess- und Prüftechnik, a category that holds value well and is easy to overlook.
  • Office and general business assets: whatever else the site contains.

How the bidding works

Sales run online, and the feature worth knowing about is the Nachverkauf — an after-sale in which lots that did not find a buyer are offered at prices reduced by up to 30%. If a lot you wanted went above your limit, or the auction closed before you registered, it is worth checking whether it reappears there. An account is needed to bid.

What to check before you bid

An after-sale price is not a bargain by definition: a lot reaches it because nobody bid, which sometimes reflects condition and sometimes only awkward logistics. Look at why. Clearances happen at the site being emptied, so viewing and removal are tied to that address and to a deadline set by the company vacating it — often a lease handover date that does not move. The site is German-language.
