City Auction Group runs three centres with distinct jobs. Peterborough is the flagship — indoor auction lanes holding 450 cars with thirty acres of external space alongside a logistics and technical services operation. Belfast handles the Northern Irish car and fleet market. Omagh specialises in commercial vehicles: vans, lorries, mini-buses, plant and machinery, with tools, garage equipment and furniture in the same sales.
What you can buy
- Fleet and lease-return cars.
- Liquidation stock, in dedicated sales.
- Commercial vehicles — vans, lorries and mini-buses.
- Plant and machinery.
- Tools, garage equipment and furniture, in the Omagh commercial sales.
How the bidding works
Sales are labelled by type and centre on the calendar — a Tuesday fleet sale at Peterborough, a Wednesday liquidation sale — and marked "Physical & Live Online", so you can attend or bid remotely on the same lots. A separate online-only channel carries trade stock available without waiting for a sale day.
What to check before you bid
Access is trade only: the group states that you open a motor trade account in order to purchase stock. Which centre a sale is in decides your collection journey — Peterborough to Omagh involves a ferry. Liquidation sales run under different terms from fleet sales; check which you are bidding in.
