Clicpublic.be is a Belgian online auction house run from Nivelles in Walloon Brabant. The operating company is Clictelia SA (Rue du Bosquet 21, 1400 Nivelles, VAT BE 0809.950.691); Clicpublic is its brand and part of the Estela Group. It sells on instruction from insolvency practitioners, bailiffs, banks, customs and administrators: bankruptcies, judicial liquidations, bank and customs seizures, vacant estates and provisional administrations, plus destocking sales for companies clearing inventory and second-hand lots from private sellers. A sister site, clicpublic.lu, handles lots located in Luxembourg. Most lots are sold as timed online auctions, but the platform also runs sealed-bid tender sales, immediate-purchase lots and a separate goodwill (business transfer) channel.

What you can buy

• Catering and bar equipment: the largest section by far, around 600 lots at a time - combi ovens, fridges, coffee machines, dishwashers, bar counters, restaurant tables and chairs from closed venues.
• Cars, vans and trucks: a few dozen at once (33 cars and bikes plus 15 vans and trucks), from bankruptcies, bank seizures and destocking - a 2024 Tesla Model Y, BMW i4 eDrive40, Range Rover Velar, Volvo V60 - next to high-mileage older cars, an Iveco Eurocargo, a Scania R500 tractor unit and Ford F-Max trucks.
• Office and shop fittings: desks, task chairs, shelving, display units, counters and till systems.
• Tools, construction and handling: hand and power tools, site equipment, building materials, pallet trucks and forklifts.
• Trade stock and household goods: clothing, sports and leisure articles, lighting, cosmetics equipment, white goods and IT hardware.

How the bidding works

Registration is free and open to anyone over 18, as a private individual or as a company (professionals supply the company name and its VAT number). Bidding is timed: you place a fixed bid, or set a maximum and let the system counter-bid up to that ceiling, and any bid in the closing minutes extends the lot by five minutes. Bids are unconditional and cannot be cancelled. Displayed prices already include the sales fee and appear both excluding (HTVA) and including (TVAC) VAT, so no separate buyer's premium appears at checkout - though a sale sheet can add dismantling or removal costs. The seller has up to two working days to confirm the award; the full amount is then due within 48 working hours of the payment invitation e-mail, by bank transfer or through the site's online payment service. The invoice itself is handed over at collection, not before. Collection happens on the date announced for the sale, against ID; a representative needs a written proxy and a copy of the buyer's ID.

What to check before you bid

Lots marked "vente reservee aux assujettis" are closed to private buyers, and that covers a good share of the vehicles - 13 of the 33 cars currently listed. Belgian VAT of 21% applies, while Luxembourg lots are taxed at 17% and private-seller lots carry none. EU businesses are refunded once their VAT number is accepted by the Ministry of Finance and they declare shipment out of Belgium, and non-EU buyers are refunded within 15 working days against export documents - but on lots sold by a provisional administrator or a judicial agent the VAT can never be recovered, and customs sales carry excise instead of VAT. Warranty and withdrawal depend on the seller, not on you: bankruptcy, seizure and private-seller lots are sold as-is with no warranty and no way out, whereas a consumer buying from a professional seller in a destocking sale keeps the 14-day withdrawal right and a one-year conformity guarantee. Either way the appointment-only viewing day matters. Almost nothing sits in Nivelles: lots stay at the seller's premises anywhere in Belgium (Marche-en-Famenne, Mont-sur-Marchienne, a bankruptcy furniture sale in Ninove), so price transport separately. Miss the collection slot and the goods are forfeited but still invoiced; storage costs EUR 20 a day for vehicles up to 3.5t and EUR 5 per pallet for anything else. Late payment carries 10% annual interest plus a 15% penalty, minimum EUR 100. The interface and the sale-specific condition sheets are both available in French, Dutch, English and German.
