Corinphila Auktionen — homepage

Corinphila has been running stamp auctions in Zurich since 1919, which makes it one of the oldest continuously trading philatelic houses in Europe. It is the first dedicated stamp auctioneer in this directory — a category that until now existed here only as a line inside general collectors' sales.

What you can buy

  • Classic philately — the house's own description of its specialism.
  • Single rarities and complete collections.
  • Swiss material in particular, backed by the house's own card index.

How the bidding works

Sales run to a published schedule with a preview, an online catalogue and downloadable PDF catalogues, plus live online bidding and a PDF bid form for those who prefer it. The house publishes its list of prices realised and keeps a full auction archive — for a collector, those two together are the most useful part of the site. Private treaty sales run alongside the auctions.

What to check before you bid

In classic philately the expert certificate is the price, and its absence should change what you pay — read the lot description for what certification accompanies a stamp. The conditions of sale are published separately from the catalogue. Switzerland is outside the EU, so shipping into the Union is an import. The site runs in German and English.
