Doboš

Doboš describes itself as an online marketplace for items in public sale, and the range of channels it covers is what makes it useful: bankruptcy monitoring, enforcement sales, customs goods, vehicles returned from leasing, and direct-negotiation sales all sit in the same catalogue. A doboš is the drum a town crier used to beat before an announcement, which is a fair description of the job.

How the bidding works

Two auction formats run here: ordinary e-auctions, and Dutch auctions where the price falls until someone accepts it. Alongside them sit neposredna pogodba listings — direct-negotiation sales at an agreed price, which are not auctions at all. The site publishes a guide to public bidding (Vodič kroz javno nadmetanje) and a database of the relevant Serbian regulations, which is more procedural help than most portals in the region offer.

What to check before you bid

Read the format label before the price. A Dutch auction rewards waiting exactly until the moment it does not, and a direct-negotiation listing is a fixed offer with no bidding at all. Many listings show "Kontakt" instead of a price, meaning you have to ask. Serbia is outside the EU customs union. The site runs in Serbian with an English toggle.
