ELV Oksjon

ELV Oksjon is run by MTÜ ELV, the Estonian association of car dismantlers, and it exists to make producer responsibility work in practice. The seller is you: you list a vehicle that has reached the end of its life, and the association's member dismantlers bid on it. The platform is unusual in this directory because the flow runs the other way from most — private sellers in, trade buyers bidding.

What you can buy

• End-of-life and scrap vehicles — the live list runs to ordinary cars: an Opel Meriva, a BMW 330xd, a VW Phaeton, a Toyota Verso.
• Damaged and uneconomic-to-repair cars destined for parts recovery.

How the bidding works

Listings are free and the platform charges no service fee — the association says so plainly. Each auction runs on a countdown, and the bidders are dismantling businesses that can value a vehicle for its parts. If the price does not reach what the seller thinks is fair, there is no obligation to sell. The winning bid includes free removal of the vehicle.

What to check before you bid

Bidding here is effectively a trade activity: the value is in the parts, and the buyers are the association's member dismantlers. If you are selling, the deregistration paperwork and the certificate of destruction are the point of the exercise — confirm the buyer provides them. The association itself notes that it cannot answer questions about spare parts, because that is the members' business rather than the association's. The site runs in Estonian, English and Russian.
