Lion Auctions is a Tbilisi car auction business, and Georgia's position as a re-export hub shapes what it carries: a make list dominated by American-market vehicles — Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Jeep, Chevrolet, Mazda, Lexus — alongside the European brands, running to well over a thousand cars.
What you can buy
- Used cars, heavily weighted to US-market imports.
- Damaged and repairable vehicles.
- Motorcycles.
- Electric and hybrid vehicles.
How the bidding works
Two channels run in parallel and the site separates them clearly: vehicles on site, already in Georgia, and vehicles on the road — stock still in transit, bid on before it arrives. There are online auctions and live auctions with separate registration, plus published auction results. A buyer's guide explains the process.
What to check before you bid
The on-site versus in-transit distinction is the one to get right: a car still on the road cannot be inspected, and its arrival date is an estimate. US-market vehicles carry their own issues in Europe — lighting, emissions paperwork and parts availability — and Georgia is outside the EU, so importing one onward is a full customs procedure. The site runs in Georgian, English and Russian.
