Monet.fi is the current home of Konkurssihuutokauppa.fi — the Finnish bankruptcy auction site — after a move that required existing users to re-register. It is a marketplace where businesses, insolvency administrators and associations publish their own sales, which is why the volume is high and the lots are small: over three hundred were live at the time of checking, spread across thirty towns.

What you can buy

• Electronics and household appliances.
• Machinery and transport equipment, plus cars and other vehicles.
• Furniture and kitchen equipment, wholesale batches, jewellery and antiques.
• Flats, business premises and plots, in small numbers.

How the bidding works

Three formats sit side by side and the filter distinguishes them: nettihuutokauppa (online auction), huutokauppakuulutukset (announcements of traditional in-person auctions run by the seller) and myynti-ilmoitukset (straight sale listings). Some lots run on automatic acceptance at a set price. Lots close on a clock, often within hours of each other, and the location filter is the practical way to keep collection sane.

What to check before you bid

Sellers here publish their own listings, so the quality of description varies with the seller rather than with the platform, and the platform is not the one warranting condition. Collection is from the seller's site — a lot in Muurame and a lot in Vantaa are three hundred kilometres apart. The site is in Finnish only.
