VH Auctions BV sells online from Wijnveld 5A in Zele, East Flanders, and has worked for Belgian insolvency trustees since 2019. Nearly every catalogue opens with wegens faillissement — due to bankruptcy — so stock is whatever a failed garage, haulier or factory left standing. Vehicles also come from broken leasing contracts and from pledged goods under customs supervision in Antwerp. Lots stay on the seller's premises: a Dendermonde vehicle yard, a garden centre in Lede, a forklift depot in Arendonk.

What you can buy

• Cars, vans and motorcycles: ex-leasing returns after contract breach, batches of 60-plus mixed vehicles at the Dendermonde yard, motorcycle groups, and single commercials such as a 2018 DAF tractor unit or a SsangYong signalling van.
• Classic cars: whole oldtimer garages such as the J-CARS estate in Laakdal, and single lots like a Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet, usually restoration projects.
• Garage and workshop equipment: workshop clearances with two-post lifts, QuickJack hydraulic lifts, bus and truck lifts from the Van Hool estate, welding extraction arms and mechanic's hand tools.
• Handling and haulage plant: Linde forklifts, BT reach trucks, semi-trailers, generators, and Van Hool diesel, electric and hydrogen fuel-cell buses.
• Factory machinery: PP and ABS injection moulding machines, palletising robots, packing lines, aluminium shredders and balers.
• Shop and catering stock: café and restaurant fit-outs, showroom kitchens, design furniture and petrol station shops.

How the bidding works

Private buyers and companies both bid, with no dealer licence required. Registration needs your details, an SMS code and an email confirmation; a business account must be separate, as one email and phone cannot serve both. Sales are timed online auctions: lots open days ahead and close in sequence at fixed times, bid manually or by proxy maximum, with no deposit taken. A pro-forma invoice reaches the winner the next working day, payable by bank transfer to the KBC account before release; the final invoice follows within two weeks. Going-concern business takeovers run by email at a market-conform offer, not through the platform.

What to check before you bid

Expect roughly 40% on top of the hammer: 21% Belgian VAT, a 17% buyer's premium unless stated otherwise, and 21% VAT on that premium too, turning the site's own €100 example into €141.57. EU buyers outside Belgium pay VAT on a first purchase and are credited once their VAT number validates. Vehicles are often sold as they stand, with no registration documents or homologation; catalogues name the few lots that do carry papers, so check before planning an export. Viewing is usually one window of an hour or two, and some sales are online-only, yet bids bind you to visible and hidden defects. Collection is one fixed day, sometimes timed to the minute, and cannot move; someone else may collect with the pro-forma invoice, but nothing left behind is stored. Bring your own crew, lifting gear and transport, as loading help is not guaranteed. Lots marked subject to award may be part-owned by third parties, and descriptions stay largely Dutch even in English.
