Aukčné Centrum is a Slovak vehicle auction house that has been trading for sixteen years and reports more than 10,000 items sold. Its stock comes largely from leasing and finance companies disposing of returned vehicles, and it runs three channels side by side: timed online auctions, a physical saleroom at Triblavinská 3191 in Chorvátsky Grob outside Bratislava, and a direct-sale catalogue for buyers who would rather not bid at all.
What you can buy
- Passenger cars: the bulk of the catalogue, coming off leasing contracts and company fleets.
- Trucks and commercial vehicles: tractors units and rigid trucks with recorded mileage, for example a 2017 Mercedes-Benz Actros 1845 Mega with 573,864 km.
- Machinery and technology: a smaller stream of plant and equipment sold under the same terms.
How the bidding works
You need an account to buy or sell, and registration is required before you can bid. Online auctions run from a computer or phone; the physical auctions are dynamic sales in the room, with 120 to 160 vehicles typically on offer and a viewing beforehand — which is the point of going, since this is the only way to inspect the car yourself. The direct-sale section works as a fixed-price listing with around 79 items available when we checked, and vehicles there are ready to collect immediately.
What to check before you bid
Financing is offered on both auction and direct-sale purchases, including instalment plans arranged through the company's partners in the financial sector — useful, but it means the headline price is not always the figure you end up comparing. Because the vehicles arrive from leasing portfolios, service history and mileage are the things to verify: ask what documentation comes with the lot before bidding. The site is Slovak-only.
