CarAukce — strona główna

CarAukce is run by Car Aukce, spol. s r.o., a Prague company at Mostecká 273/21 that sells vehicles online for Czech leasing houses, consumer-credit providers and corporate fleet operators. Stock comes from expired operating leases, prematurely terminated finance-lease and loan contracts and company fleets; batches carry seller codes such as HOMEC (Home Credit), COFDS (Cofidis), ESSOX, CENZA, PENTA and LIDL. The homepage claims 52,934 vehicles sold over 22 years; a few dozen lots run at a time (46 when checked). Voluntary electronic public auctions run alongside, now under Czech Act 250/2023 Sb., with an archive going back to 2019 and repeat sales for the Interior Ministry.

What you can buy

  • Ex-lease passenger cars: Škoda Octavia, Fabia, Yeti, Karoq and Superb, Volkswagen T-Cross and Passat CC, Audi A3 and A7 Sportback, BMW 3 Series and 1 Series, Peugeot 308, spanning 2008-2025 with mileages reaching 390,000 km.
  • Vans and light commercials: Ford Transit and Transit Custom in quantity, Volkswagen Caddy and Crafter, Peugeot Boxer, Fiat Ducato, Mercedes Citan, a 2023 Iveco 35S16; the older ones are ex-fleet and high-mileage.
  • Electric and hybrid stock: Maxus EV80 electric van, Opel Grandland X Hybrid4, plug-in Audi Q7 - though only two lots are filtered as fully electric.
  • Cheap older stock: worn diesels and petrols with guide prices from roughly 10,000 to 50,000 CZK.
  • Occasional outliers: a Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato at 6,277,000 CZK, a Dodge Challenger and a 2024 Dongfeng DF6 4x4 truck.

How the bidding works

Registration is free for individuals and companies alike; an administrator approves each account, and every form applicant uploads a scan of an ID card, passport or residence permit, with Bank iD offered as an alternative. Without an account you see cut-down vehicle cards and no photo gallery. The usual format is the "elektronická soutěž - nejvhodnější nabídka" (electronic best-offer competition): bidding opens at the guide price, each participant gets a capped number of bids set per sale, and a bid in the closing minute extends that lot by 60 seconds. An "Asistent" proxy bids in 1,000 CZK steps up to your ceiling. A guaranteed (G) sale binds the winner automatically; in a non-guaranteed (N) sale you wait about five working days for the announcer or owner to accept or reject. Public auctions close on the hammer but carry their own repeating three-minute extension. Neither track takes a deposit; payment and collection follow within five working days.

What to check before you bid

In the competitions the buyer pays an administrative fee on top: 1,000 CZK below 15,000 CZK, otherwise 4,000 CZK plus 1.5% of the price achieved, excluding VAT; in a public auction the auctioneer's fee is set by the individual dražební vyhláška. Guide prices include Czech VAT and many cards flag it as deductible. Exporters get a VAT-free invoice but must lodge a refundable deposit equal to the Czech VAT and prove export and foreign registration within two months of invoicing, or the money is gone. Transport is yours, and cars sit at the CarAukce yard in Kolín or at the seller's own address, the latter shown as a bare postcode. Storage runs 250 CZK a day plus VAT once the five-day window lapses; walking away from a won competition lot costs 10% of the price (2,000-50,000 CZK), an unpaid auction lot 10,000 CZK plus the auctioneer's fee. Vehicles sell as they stand: you may refuse one before handover if it differs from the description, but the operator does not warrant the card data and technical complaints are refused afterwards. The attached Car Detect certificate is a VIN, theft-register and pledge check, not a technical survey; detail comes from a separate Ministry of Transport data sheet. The site, terms PDFs and reports are Czech-only, and the language switcher offers CZ alone.
