Portál dražeb

Portál dražeb (portaldrazeb.cz) is the official auction portal of the Exekutorská komora České republiky, the statutory chamber of Czech court executors (bailiffs), based in Brno. Every auction ordered by a Czech executor must be published here, which makes the site the national register of enforcement sales: assets seized from debtors to settle court-ordered debts, plus voluntary auctions run by the same executors. Around 830 auctions sit in the "Připravované" (upcoming) list at any time, of which roughly 145 are actually bid online on the portal itself.

What you can buy

• Land: farm, forest and amenity plots, usually a few thousand square metres but sometimes hectares at a time, such as 8 ha at Holedeč or forest near Smolnice with a reserve in the tens of thousands of CZK.
• Homes: family houses, flats, apartment buildings, garages, cottages, and fractional shares such as a 1/16 stake in a house at Podhrad.
• Cars and vans: Škoda Kodiaq 2017, Škoda Rapid, Renault Mégane 2019, VW Multivan, Ford Transit, Toyota Hilux pick-up; one recent lot was a hall sale of 17 vehicles in one session.
• Plant and equipment: the odd forklift (a Still R70-45 Hybrid with 12,684 hours) and mixed business assets.
• Household movables: electronics, white goods, furniture, antiques and art, sold as job lots.
• Intangibles: companies, business shares (obchodní podíly) and receivables (pohledávky).

How the bidding works

Registration is free and open to individuals, companies, married couples, and groups buying in defined co-ownership shares. It is not instant: you print the form and have your signature officially certified through CzechPOINT (Czech Post, a public office, a notary or a lawyer), before the executor, or at a Czech consulate abroad. Foreign companies can register provided every document is in Czech or carries a certified translation. Accounts are usually activated within one working day of the papers arriving. You then apply to each specific auction - at least a day before it starts, because nobody can join once bidding opens - and pay the deposit (dražební jistota) into the executor's own account. Deposits on current lots run from a few hundred CZK to as much as CZK 6 million, with a median around CZK 100,000; many lots need none. Bidding is timed: you enter the increment, not the total, and any bid in the final five minutes pushes the close five minutes further.

What to check before you bid

The site is Czech-only. Not every listing is bid here - check "Místo konání dražby", because many lots are sold in a hall or on another platform. Vehicle descriptions are blunt: non-runners, a failed DSG gearbox, expired roadworthiness test, one key only. Viewings are usually one announced date at the storage yard, and collection is wherever the executor keeps the item. On real estate sold in enforcement proceedings opened since 2013, a third party has 15 days from publication of the knock-down resolution to file a předražek and take the property by offering at least a quarter more than your winning bid. The chamber answers technical questions only; VAT treatment, payment deadlines and handover are matters for the executor named in the listing.
