Carstock.ie
- Trade buyers only

Carstock.ie sells used vehicles in Ireland through a tender process rather than an open ascending auction: buyers submit an offer and the best one takes the car. It runs as a dealer platform, with a login for the trade, and lists both tender and non-tender vehicles so a buyer can filter to the format they want.
What you can buy
- Cars by tender: the main stream, offered to trade buyers by sealed offer.
- Non-tender vehicles: stock sold outside the tender process.
- Light commercials: vans appearing alongside the cars.
How the bidding works
A tender is not an auction: you submit one offer without seeing what others have bid, and you cannot react to being outbid. That changes how you should price — your first number is your only number. The platform advertises vehicle checks carried out before listing, confirming that a car is not subject to outstanding finance and is not recorded as stolen, which in the Irish market is a genuine service rather than a formality. Search filters cover make, model, year, fuel, body type, transmission and price.
What to check before you bid
Confirm whether you can register at all: the platform is built around a dealer login, so private buyers should check their status before spending time on the catalogue. A pre-listing check covers finance and theft records but is not a mechanical inspection — condition remains yours to assess. Vehicles stay with the selling dealer until sold, so agree collection when you agree the deal. Contact is 087 4000643 or msalveta@carstock.ie.
