IVG mbH & Co. KG is a German auction house at Felix-Wankel-Strasse 2 in Kirchlengern, selling used business assets through its own portal. Stock comes from insolvency proceedings, company liquidations, pledged estates, leasing returns and fleet disposals, so the catalogue turns over constantly. The auction centre sits in Kirchlengern, backed by eleven regional offices from Berlin and Hamburg to Munich and Stuttgart, while the lots stay where the business stood: Hoerstel, Vlotho, Schwelm, Cloppenburg, Esslingen, Saarbruecken and other sites across Germany. More than 4,000 objects are online daily, in lots ranging from a single machine to catalogues of 400 or 500 positions.

What you can buy

• Vehicles: Scania trucks, HIAB roll-off tipper bodies, ex-fleet and leasing-return cars from a Jaguar E-Type to a Dacia Duster, trailers and semi-trailers. Every vehicle is sold deregistered, so budget for trade plates or a trailer.
• Forklifts and warehouse kit: Jungheinrich and TCM electric forklifts, pallet stackers, heavy-duty racking.
• Agricultural and construction: Fendt and New Holland tractors, Case excavators, Schaeffer loaders, Manitou telehandlers, MEVA formwork panels.
• Metal and woodworking: Trumpf laser cutting, Deckel Maho and Chiron machining centres, Index CNC lathes, Wemhoener short-cycle presses, transfer machines and glass coating lines.
• Catering and food production: MIWE deck ovens, Rheon dough dividers, complete bread-roll lines, cold rooms.
• Workshop and retail: Bosch and Kraft angle grinders, drills, industrial vacuums, general workshop and operating equipment, plus current-asset lots such as a bulk posting of keyrings.
• Office, IT and print: office furnishings, flat screens and PCs, Renz binding machines, Durst and Inca large-format presses. IT gear comes with GDPR-wiped drives and no operating system.

How the bidding works

IVG admits only Unternehmer under section 14 BGB, meaning businesses and sole traders. Private consumers cannot bid. Registration asks for full identification, companies giving the firm name, business address, authorised representatives and a tax or VAT number; you confirm by email link and wait for approval, and IVG can demand proof of commercial status and need not admit anyone. You bid under a pseudonymous name, manually or through the bidding agent, which raises your bid in the published minimum increments up to your limit. That limit can be raised but never lowered, and bids cannot be withdrawn. Auctions soft-close: a higher bid in the final two minutes pushes the end back two minutes, repeating until bidding stops. Winning is not final, because the hammer may be awarded subject to confirmation, which signals the unpublished reserve was missed; IVG then has ten days to decide while your bid stays binding. The contract forms only when the acceptance email is sent; the invoice follows within 24 hours, payable at once by bank transfer. No cash, cards or cheques.

What to check before you bid

Your real cost is the hammer price plus a buyer's premium plus VAT on the combined total. The online conditions name no premium rate and the on-site auction terms quote 18%, so establish the figure for the sale you are bidding in. Everything is used and sold as it stands with liability for defects excluded; descriptions are expressly non-binding and not an agreed specification, so the viewing day each auction schedules is your only real chance to judge condition. Collection is Ex Works: dismantling and transport are your cost and risk, IVG does not ship, loading help is not guaranteed, and goods are released only after payment clears. Late collection costs 100 euro per item per day, or 30 euro for road-registered vehicles. EU buyers need a certified VAT identification number and a completed Gelangensbestaetigung to be invoiced without VAT; without them German VAT is charged or recharged. Non-EU buyers post a deposit equal to 19% German VAT, refunded against stamped original export papers due within three weeks of collection, and IVG will not act as exporter of record. The site runs in 17 languages and lot titles are translated, but the auction conditions and the contract language are German.
