AC1 Auktionen runs a narrow and useful channel: vehicles decommissioned by German public authorities and municipalities. That includes the category most auction houses never touch — Feuerwehrtechnik, fire service equipment — alongside the ordinary municipal fleet.

What you can buy

• Fire service vehicles and equipment.
• Trailers.
• Machinery and equipment from public bodies.
• Agricultural, forestry and municipal machinery, when authorities dispose of it.

How the bidding works

The rhythm is fixed and easy to plan around: viewing on the first Wednesday of the month from 10:00 to 17:00, and the auction on the first Thursday. Alongside the auction runs a Freiverkauf — a direct-sale list at fixed prices. The site is in German and English.

What to check before you bid

This platform is trade only, and it says so on the front page rather than burying it in terms: participation in the online auction is possible only for registered businesses. If you are a private buyer, this is not a route in. For everyone else, the fixed viewing day is the only inspection window, so a missed Wednesday means bidding blind on the Thursday.
