Riegermann runs insolvency auctions across western Germany and has built the catalogue around a distinction worth learning: Terminauktion, a scheduled sale that ends at a fixed time, versus Freiverkauf, an open sale where goods are available at a price rather than by bidding. Both appear in the same list, and roughly two thirds of the live sales are the scheduled kind.

How the bidding works

Sales carry a status — preview, current, after-sale (Nachverkauf) or completed — and the after-sale stage is worth knowing: unsold lots stay available at a price after the auction closes. The site keeps a bidding plan, watch list and results list per account. Alongside the auctions the company sells property and operates a pawnshop, both listed separately.

What to check before you bid

Each auction names the insolvent company and the address where its equipment stands — that address is where you collect, and it is usually a building the administrator needs cleared. Check whether a lot is in a scheduled auction or a Freiverkauf before planning around a closing time, because the second has none. The site is in German.
