Slovakia publishes its auctions through several separate registers, and that fragmentation is the single most annoying thing about the market. eAuction.sk exists to fix it: voluntary auctions, enforcement auctions, bankruptcy offers, tax administrator sales and asset sales, all in one searchable list with counts you can see at a glance — 55, 138, 142, 8 and 4 respectively at the time of checking.
What you can buy
- Property, which dominates every one of the five channels.
- Vehicles and machinery from enforcement and bankruptcy.
- Land.
- Business assets from tax administrator sales.
How the bidding works
This is an index rather than a bidding floor — the sale itself is run by the licensed auctioneer, court executor, bankruptcy trustee or tax office named in the notice, each under its own procedure. The site adds free email alerts, and recently added filtering by district (okres) rather than only by region, with the live count shown for each district. There is a legal guide alongside the listings.
What to check before you bid
The distinction between the five channels is not administrative detail: a voluntary auction is a sale the owner chose, an enforcement or bankruptcy sale is one imposed on them, and they differ in what transfers, what deposit is required and on what grounds a completed sale can later be challenged. Read the original notice, and check the land register rather than the listing. The site is in Slovak.
