MKE — Makina ve Kimya Endüstrisi — is the Turkish state machinery and chemicals corporation, and this is the portal through which it sells surplus and recovered material. The important distinction is built into the navigation: Herkese Açık Satış is the public sale portal, open to anyone, while Lisanslı Satış is the licensed-buyer channel for controlled goods. The two are separate portals with a switch between them.
What you can buy
- Vehicle and machine parts — a differential from a BMC lorry, an excavator cab, a hydraulic valve group, a Toyota Hilux diesel engine.
- Steel and brass factory products.
- Electrical and electronic equipment.
- Furniture, white goods and hardware.
- Books and paper for recycling.
How the bidding works
Every lot publishes four things clearly: the publication date, the bidding start and end (usually twenty-four hours apart, weeks after publication), the deposit (teminat tutarı) and the opening price (açılış fiyatı). The deposit runs at a consistent 20% of the opening price. Access is through e-Devlet, Turkey's national digital identity system, which is what makes the public channel genuinely public.
What to check before you bid
The e-Devlet requirement is the practical gate: it is straightforward for Turkish residents and a real obstacle for anyone else, so establish whether you can register before planning around a lot. Goods are held at MKE recycling directorates — Kırıkkale and Aliağa are the ones that appear most — and collected from there. The site is in Turkish.
