Spanish industrial auctions sell at two very different scales. At one end are individual machines from insolvency estates, catalogued and sold like anywhere else in Europe. At the other are whole facilities — a winery, a production plant, a metalworking shop — offered as a coherent unit with buildings, land and installed plant, sometimes with no minimum price. That second category is the distinctive one, and it is not a machinery purchase: licences, environmental permissions, planning status and possibly employment obligations come with it, and which of them transfer depends on the insolvency procedure rather than on the listing.
